Charles Aznavour dies. Impossible, but true. We shared May 22nd (birthday, but 2 or 3 years apart.) A few years ago I invited him to sing on my album World peace is none of your business. He listened, but declined - a wise man, indeed !
Music lasts longer than life, and Charles Aznavour is music : now, today, tomorrow and always.

Not entirely unexpected, but what a voice. I’m embarrassed I haven’t gone out of my way to listen to more of his stuff.

Some of that 60s and 70s French pop is pure gold, but my rusty and now limited knowledge of the language sometimes let’s me get the gist.

I wonder what it was about men of that generation that meant even at a young age they looked old? You see it in clips of D-Day where you see nineteen year olds charging off landing craft looking forty. Perhaps it was those bloody great machine guns aimed at them.

Here’s Bill Haley at just thirteen years of age...

Probably.

Only Jacob Rees-Mogg seems to be keeping the tradition alive.
bill hayley,hes let himself go.

one of the great things about being a moz fan is being introduced through moz to all these great personalities he admires or that have influenced him. it's like hes the curator of a precious collection of objets d'art that he puts on display for us to look over and admire too.

But my hero is wrong that Aznavour was wise to decline the honor of singing on the amazing _World Peace is None of Your Business_. Lucky ducky Kristeen Young got in on that sweet opportunity. "Kiss Me a Lot" is a party classic.

#IOnlyCareThatTheTwoOfUsAreThere

Heartfelt words from Morrissey.

I know, I saw it too. I was trying to find that rude version of Rainbow that they recorded for the staff Xmas party (allegedly). You know the one...

We weren't allowed to watch telly grewing up so I missed out a lot of these kids classics TV shows. One of my granny did allow me to watch a bit of telly with her but it was mainly Coronation Street and I was ordered to be silent.. I was truly bored and my jaw ached from tension.

I hope you're joking and my humour receptors are just a bit dull today. If you're not then all I can say is you missed an ocean of TV that was priceless and worthless at the same time. But ours all the same.

The BEST video I've ever seen on this site. Benny you are top of the heap. An A1 comic genius unrivalled in your kingdom. My stomach is sore from laughing.

Moz cutie fishing for compliments!

‘Music lasts longer than life’

Well, good music lasts forever, Morrissey doesn’t need to worry there.
