Thats How People Throw Up
I would love him and take him into the fold, like a lamb at dinner time, only alive and with a small bottle of udder milk.
Sounds like the annual Moz SoLow meetup/orgy that I'm planning is bound for failure.
Lol. If any-ones interested, I am a journalist, but not registered or profesional. I am trying to write free lance and for magz or local papers, trying to get my foot in there. No success yet. Got a degree in Eng Lit and doing a BSC in Audio Science at the mo. In my spare time i write articles on live gigs, tours albums and artists past, current and up-comming. I am looking for a fun loving gal who loves fun loving things, not afraid of heights but tall enough to be scared of the ground she stands on. Young, or old. Black hair with curls. LOL
Just in case anyone wants to know. (About me, not about dating, that was just a joke. Unless you're up for a 3 way with me a Mozza!? )

It's Ok.
what is? Morrissey's sexuality, well I am sure it is thanks for letting us know.
WOW. how many meanings has my sentence?
I was referring to dom, no problems with him.
I'll say it here and now and for the n-th time. I love morrissey-solo, I love the people posting on here. It's a funny place to hang around and Moz fans are still the nicest people I met on the internet. People who Brett's forum (on which I'm posting daily these days) are a little bit too sarcastic for my likes. There's a great atmosphere on solo.
not to sound like a bitch, but seriously? you wanna be a journalist? you need to work on your spelling skillz a bit then.
About the journalist bit; where did you go for your degree?
I'm just curious, because I want to be a journalist myself and I am starting looking at Uni applications in the summer.
Ahh ok! That awsome. Well, as i said i only got an English Lit degree and am doing Audio Science now, i haven't actually done a journalism degre. I will most likely do short courses on it, but most of it will be off my own back and portfolio. A degree in it is a much better idea though, i am only doing it this way becuase of lack of time. There are a few unis to speak of, but it depends where you want to live and study, there are lots.
A small collection fo ones i looked at a while ago:
http://www.city.ac.uk/journalism/

http://www.shef.ac.uk/journalism/

But the best one i think, and one of the most prestigious, in Wales at least is in Cardiff

These are contact adds for the national newsapers of the UK and other mags etc
Newspapers

That's really all i can give you. Other than that, if you havnt done so already, really build up your portfolio, it's vital, and also write for mags and newspapers now too, even if they are easy to apply to. Best of luck to you too
Thankyou very much for the info Dom
I was all set to do a Journalism degree, either in Coventry or Sheffield Hallam, but I spoke to my careers advisor at college and he persuaded me that it would be more useful to get an English degree, and then do a postgraduate Journalism course elsewhere. With that in mind, I'm looking to apply to UCL, Durham, Cambridge etc (I am in England) for an English Lit degree, and then there is a 1 year postgraduate Journalism course at Sheffield which seems useful. Thankyou for the links

That's so interesting you say that's the way you were advised to do it, cos i had simillar advice but not from careers advice (cos i didnt use it unfortunately) And i thought it would be much better to have an all round literature degree, in order to get versed in the language and such, then learn the skills afterwards in a short course. That way i think one becomes more of a rounded individual. So you've probably got it right. Very much good luck to you ma dear. No problem about the links
One of my finer qualities is recognising i may be wrong.....Bagsy first invite.
