"The world won't listen" - statement from Morrissey at true-to-you.net

Re: The world won't listen - statement from Morrissey at true-to-you

People in power never give up power. Look at Assad - if you must; his dingbat wife continuing to smile and wave, wrapped in Fendi, as the people of Syria disappear into dust. It is the same shame that the British utilized whilst claiming ownership of the Malvinas by shooting anyone who stood in their way. How very brave. Imagine if Taiwan claimed the Isle of Wight. Yes, it is that silly. The Queen is conveniently said to have no political power, yet it would be impossible to imagine her government disagreeing with her if she elected to return the Malvinas to the Argentinian people, and although David Cameron is gung-ho ready to see more British and Argentinian boys die in battle for this odd bit of turf, he cannot see the richer intellect in simply returning the islands to their rightful owners. Yet Cameron is haughtily aghast when people run riot on the streets of Coventry stealing hair-dryers worth ten pounds. Outrage!
What is never considered is how the occupants of the Malvinas (who want to bask in the south seas whilst also having the benefit of the NHS, and who number only about 2,500) are quite satisfied to sit back and watch service personnel die defending their post box. Has such selfishness ever been known? What makes it all worth it?

Thank you to Russell Brand for standing up and speaking out in recent weeks. Like anyone who speaks out in modern Britain, he has been shot down. Nothing must interfere with the depressive psychosis of modern Britain, which has become a most violent and melancholic country, with no space for measured debate. Like Russell, I believe that the most powerful vote you can give is No Vote; for the days of Prime Ministers have gone, and it's time for a form of change that is far more meaningful than simply switching blue to red. The print media will only support people who do not matter and who are incapable of instigating thought - David 'rent-a-smile' Beckham; his wife - famous for having nothing to do; the dum dum dummies of the Katie Price set; the overweight Jamie 'Orrible, who tells us all how to eat correctly.
At what point did the dis-United Kingdom become a cabbagehead nation? Where is the rich intellect of debate? Where is our Maya Angelou, our James Baldwin, our Allen Ginsberg, our Anthony Burgess, our political and social reformers? At what point did the shatterbrained scatterbrains take over - with all leading British politicians suddenly looking like extras from Brideshead Revisited? Although it is clear to assess the Addams Family of SW1X as the utterly useless and embarrassing ambassadors of a sinking England, how can we effect change without being tear-gassed? In the absence of democracy, there is no way.

I write this without outburst; a staunch non-terrorist, quietly, calmly and composedly, as I mourn the loss of the land.

Morrissey

He made a lot more sense when he had the shits.

That poorly constructed block of text is supposed to be from the pen of one of the foremost man of letters of the last three decades is it? Dear, oh dear. No wonder he can no longer write songs.

Let's leave to one side that lion killing bitch and just talk politics.

So now we have both Morrissey and that middle aged Boys Town Buccaneer Brand putting Britain to rights from the agreeable comfort of the Hollywood Hills. Feet up, a pint of vodka in one hand, and a pint of vodka in the other, Morrissey tells us how he sees the world. I suppose the real answer - through the polluted heat haze hanging over LA - is rather less likely to get him column inches.

Here we have two millionaires fomenting revolution in a Western liberal democracy from thousands of miles away. Pathetic. Only a fool would give either of them any political credence whatsoever.

They can both f*** off, and for Morrissey to bleat "Where is humanity?" after the way he treats most of the people in his book is f***ing laughable. A nasty piece of work like him questioning the humanity of others? Self-awareness is not his strong suit, is it?

Morrissey is just another bitter old queen, knowing that attacking the other old Queen gets him column inches. His slow, painful death would delight me, and if there's any justice Brand, that dirty old pervert, who seems to spend most of his time bothering women a fraction of his age for sex, will do us all a favour and overdose. Nah, only joking. Wishing death on people is not nice, and anyone who means it must be deranged. Morrissey.

By the way, I read the other day that Gore Vidal insisted that he was referred to as "pansexual" rather than homosexual, which has echoes of the recent "humasexual" bullshit. The thing is recent evidence seems to point to the possibility Vidal might have been a paedophile.

Let's have some clarification from Morrissey of his true meaning of "humasexual", so we know exactly what he means. Are any humans off limits? It might also explain why he and Brand are so close and why the latter likes to dress as the Child Catcher. Answers please, Morrissey.

After all, we don't want another Savile, now, do we?

It was going really well, a quality rant particularly about American ex-pats who contribute sweet fa to Briish society whilst they bemoan Britain's class sycophanticism....

And then kind of wished Morrissey a slow death whilst comparing him to Jimmy Savile? On the basis of you hearing Gore Vidal may have been a paedo. With friends like these on your own website devoted to you, who needs identifiable enemies?

And suddenly that episode of Brasseye from 1997 rears its head.

On Johnny, we're sorry
won't you come on home
we're worried

What is wrong in your life?
That you stay up
And post shite
all night

Johnny.....

I think you've been reading too many conspiracy sites, stick to the porn. Ickey-babey.

PS I think you'll find Sir Cliff of Elm Street House is far more worthy of your twisted logic... Eg his colostomy priest friend/ piss-sack.

Of course that vile ignoramus Johnny Barleycorn would NOT be delighted by Morrissey's "slow, painful death" or he wouldn't keep visiting this website, day after tedious day. The usual suspects who come here endlessly to complain and complain and complain while insisting that they don't care are fooling absolutely no one: anyone who GENUINELY didn't care, would have walked away long ago. But JB, like the others, is hooked and always will be. Nor can JB claim that his phrase was merely imitating Morrissey as when Morrissey calls for someone's instant death, he does it with hyperbole and wit, not with all the style of the angry, disempowered adolescent holed up in his lonely black bedroom. Maybe that's why HE has a best-selling book and JB doesn't. Oh and there's nothing in Morrissey's book where he treats people in the same way that poachers treat animals or the British press treat the Royal Family or...hang on, what did JB even mean by that utterly redundant "humanity" comparison?

Are we supposed to be impressed by JB's contrived outrage and artificial anger? Are we supposed to believe that he is the one with the "true" insight? Or do we just think he's a sad twat who needs to get a life instead of spending all his free time in the highly productive pursuit of attacking a pop star on the internet...?

For those like Barleytorn stating Moz is in LA sunning himself, I saw him getting out of a Taxi with his shopping the other day, of course I will not say where this amazing event took place, but near to where I have a second home! Oh and he looked well fit. Would use my name but can't log in so Anon it is

Can you ask him how the revolution is going ?
Oh and will it be ok to loot the local fruit and veg market so we can get our share of the lentils and pulses ?

Panic on the streets

Did anyone make it through that rant? Where I left off he appears to despise everyone who eats meat, which means he despises most people. Yawn. IF he wanted to prove he's such a good and moral man maybe he should have paid his bandmates what he owed them. And that dead lion also ate meat, airhead. And isn't it pretty stale to still be obsessing on Sarah Palin? Morrisey endorsed John Kerry who had hunting photo-ops. Morrissey endorsed Obama who eats meat. I detect a bit of sexism going on here. He seems to reserve special hatred for female public figures and politicians. By the way, since Morrissey thinks eating a fish is murder, what is his opinion on aborting fetuses? Does he have the guts to offer an opinion on that? Try harder for attention, Morrissey. Most of the world didn't notice the release of your book.

You did though :thumb:

Can we expect a statement from Morrissey about the animals that were killed for the vest that Kanye West wears in his Bound2 video?

This pretty much spot on. I am sick of the state of "modern" Britain, where we have arrived at a world class model of ingnorance in all forms. Informed debate is mocked, with only crass stupidity and emotive nonsense broadcast through our media. We are forced to choose between political parties on the right or the very right of the spectrum, all notion of left wing views are scorned and demonized. We destroy our enviroment and it's wildlife at an almost competitve rate and inspite of all of our advances we are forced to accept mediocre gonvernment and quality of life. How can the media point the finger at the unemployed as the scurge of modern Britain when we waste untold sums of money on the up keep of an out of date royal family and a government who would revert back to the Victorian laissez faire attitude of the ruling elite. We are sinking ship, in need of a strong and defined ruling political body to drag us back to an intellectual, advanced society.

First of all hunting/shooting animals for sport/enjoyment is disgusting. However Morrissey goes on to dilute his message.

I'm afraid he needs challenging on some of these topics, such as the Falklands, which in his latest rant, Morrissey calls the Falklanders selfish. He draws a comparison between Taiwan owning Isle of Wight and the British Falklands that doesn't stack up: the Isle of Wight is about three miles from the British mainland with by British people living there for centuries; the Falkland Islands are about three hundred miles away from Argentina and it has never belonged to that country. It's more the equivalent of saying Iceland is approximately three hundred miles away from Britain - and even though British people don't live there - they should still own it!

All this without even mentioning Argentina is the result of Spanish colonialism. Morrissey shows no balance, either through ignorance or hatred of his own country...

I see your point, but Morrissey has the balls to speak out against the massacres being committed against nature. The public has short term memory and we need to be reminded.

Who is this Moz that you speak of? I'm not familiar.

Why he is a rebel rousing out of date pop crooner who now relies on the likes of Lou Reed to release a song. Don't be surprised if he releases the lion sleeps tonight sometime soon. :guitar:

A Wimaway

I'm sorry I forgot what we're on about can you remind please.

Why on earth are you talking about me on a site about Morrissey? :lbf: :squiffy:

Meh, the leap from shooting a lion to eating meat is tenuous at best. Last I heard, there is no such thing as an abattoir for lions.
