in the church yard in my village there is a William Stiff buried (dead of course). And i knew a lad called philip McCracken at school , but i was too young and naive to know what it meant at the time.

Kate, i used to go to primary school with a lad called philip mccraken, but i was too young and naive to really take advantage of it. we did not go to the same high school - i guess thats' when he contemplated changing his name by deed poll!

I met a guy in Norwich called Forest, who had a 6ft cannabis plant in his airing cupboard.

My friend worked for Abbey National customer services (she spoke to Carol Decker from T'Pau, but that's another story) and had to stifle laughter for the duration of a call from a Mrs Orifice, who insisted her name was pronounced Oro-fiche.

But i think my poor cousin takes a prize home for John Thomas ... if anyone's ever read Lady Chatterly's Lover, they'll know what i mean ... even my Great Grandad was left spluttering in disbelief at that christening.

reminds me of the tv program where the wife was always putting on airs..saying her name was pronounce "bouquet", but the husband and everyone else pronounced it "bucket"? and her family was a bunch of sloppy, dole receiving folks.
I forget the name of the program.

That was it!

Very funny.
I also like the show the Royals, or Royal Family...I forget the name exactly.

I remember in one episode (short summary:
Something was stinking in the house.
Family is all sitting watching tv.
They keep noticing some smell of shite.
Finally the Mrs. notices that the son-in-law had stepped in some.
They all kind of look at it but no one does anything about it.
They just keep watching tele.

I wish BBC America would put it back on.

A girl I used to work with knew a guy called "Drew Peacock".

Poor guy.

Re: That was it!

My local PBS network still shows it, as well as the Royal Family show.
Saturday or Sunday nights, one of them, they always show British comedies.

I love Chef!

Wonder if she ever met Don King?

Clinton Bodkin

And he was a hard wee bastard so nobody messed with him, despite the name.
happy days.

aaah bless him, surely his mother was taking the piss when she signed that birth certificate. My primary school teacher used to be called Mrs Bullpit, oh how we laughed!
